Here we were both contracted by CreateAvision Ltd to be part of their team to build this curvy strawbale house. Pete and Kirsten LeBon designed the house and were the main contractor for the build.

 

Features:

• Colored and polished concrete pad over Cupolex pods.

• Curved external and internal walls up to a pitched ceiling.

• Locally sourced clay and lime plasters direct to bales.

• Internal walls finished with clay plasters over carpet or hessian as substrate.

• Curved external and internal walls up to a pitched ceiling.

• Heavy trusses made on site with recycled hardwood beams.

• Part truss roof and part pitched rafter roof with valleys and ridges.

• Interior earth bag wall for thermal mass.

• Worm based flushing wastewater system.
